I use DesignPLUS to create Professional Development Workshops for Faculty at Texas Woman’s University. Currently all professional development is hosted online in the Canvas Learning Management System. DesignPLUS allows me to create a course that is aligned to our quality assurance standards which includes accessibility and usability by all learners.
I use DesignPLUS to create a custom Home page with navigation blocks that guide the learners through the course. The Home page also includes a custom image that represents our university.
On the Workshop content page, I use DesignPLUS to add advanced elements such as Accordions to organize information to help the learners better understand the content. I also use icons to help separate the content into meaningful sections.
Finally on the Resources page, DesignPLUS enables me to group the resources into content blocks that allow the learner to quickly access the information that is most pertinent to his/her purposes.
DesignPLUS enables me to create a Professional Development workshop for faculty that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional in providing the content and materials faculty needs to enhance their skills and meet their professional challenges.
Texas Woman’s University is a public co-educational university and is the largest university primarily for women in the United States.
